1. What was the last song you listened to?
Kimberly singing Jesus Loves Me...doesn't get much better than that does it?

2. Have you ever had “buyer’s remorse” over anything?
Not really, I don't believe so, I did learn alot after we bought our first truck and then when we went to sell and the whole interest stuff. Never knew that most of the time your paying all interest off first then the rest. Made it difficult to sell it but we learned a lesson!

3. What is something in your life that you are thankful for now that you didn’t think you would be at the time of the event? (Something that seemed ill-timed, inconvenient or hurtful which turned out to be a good thing)

I know there is something but I just can't think of it at the moment! Maybe reading other peoples post will let me think of something!

4. Do you watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade every year? If so, do you have a favorite float or balloon?
We don't end up watching the whole thing but we do watch parts of it every year....I just love all the floats...they are so amazing to me!

5. Share a quote, scripture, poem or lyric which has been an inspiration to you lately.
"Life is not waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain"
This has been one of my favorites for about a year or so now...I just love it. It's hard to follow sometimes but it's a great thing to strive for.

6. This is meant to be a fun question, and this is a G-rated blog, but please share a “guilty pleasure,” something that you enjoy that’s probably not the most edifying, time-worthy or healthy thing you could be indulging in. Did I mention--G rating?

7. What Thanksgiving food are you looking forward to?

as always my Auntie Gayla's stuffing, my sister mac n cheese, and my mother in laws cheese logs!

8. What is your favorite book to read to children, or what was your favorite childhood book?
One of my all time favorite from when I was a kid and I read it to my kids now is "Love you forever"

9. Do you collect anything? (Feel free to post a photo.)
I collect the Willow Tree Figurines, my mom gets me one every Christmas. I love them and find it funny that they freak out my brother and sis in law because they don't have faces!

10. Gift bags or wrapping paper?
Both!! I usually gift bag for adults and wrapping paper for children!

11. Share an after-school memory from when you were younger. What was your routine like on an average day?

I just remember doing our homework, eating a snack, watching a cartoon, then going out to play! Basically the same thing my kids do now!

12. True story: Once, in a job interview, I was asked this question and told there would be no clarifying; I simply had to answer the question: “When you’re fishing, do you feel for the fish?” So what about you? When you're fishing, do you feel for the fish??

BWHAHAHA you will NOT see this chick touching ANY fish for ANY reason!! Keep dreaming sister! Gross!

Shutting Down

The exhaustion has kicked in. Totally and completely beat.

I am suppose to be catching up on

homework today. I just don't care. I'm tired.

I am heading to be permanently attached to my

couch with remote in hand, bud light lime in other hand, covered with a comfy blanket.

No thinking allowed. I will soon return.

Thanks for all the prayers that have been given to our family.

They have been very appreciated but tonight...we are shutting down.

Conversations with Lil Miss

Driving today this is the conversation with Lil Miss, Hubby, my Nana, and I.

Lil Miss-DziaDzia(grandpa) is way up in the moon with Jesus.

Nana- What baby?

Lil Miss- DziaDzia is way up in the sky on the moon with Jesus.

Daddy-Yes baby, he is. Do you think he's happy?

Lil Miss- Oh yes! He's with Jesus!

Daddy-DziaDzia loved to sing, do you think he's up there singing with Jesus?

Lil Miss- (big smile on face) Oh yes, he's singing with Jesus!

Momma-silent tears pouring down face because she has the sweetest lil girl ever who understands far more than us adults do sometimes!


The visitation is tomorrow and the funeral is Friday. Thanks for all the prayers that have been said for us. The old two kids want to see him tomorrow at the visitation so I know that its going to be very hard for them but we gave them the choice. We aren't letting Lil Miss see him because I just don't think she will understand why his body is still here when we are telling her he is gone. Please pray for this and for my mother. She is a strong woman but her heart is broken, please pray for her strength.

Random Dozen

Here's my Random Dozen this week....trying to get away from the reality of life for a moment!

1. It's early morning, about 2:00AM, and you're driving home. You come to a red light and sit there. There is no one in sight for miles around. Do you wait it out or run the light?
Wait it out because I have this insane ability to get a ticket for just about anything!! I got pulled over at one point simply because a cop was bored and wanna to run my stuff. Fun times.

2. If you had the chance to re-do the last 24 hours, would you change anything?
The last 24 hours have been pure hell. I wish that I could just change the reason as to why the last 24 have been so awful.

3. When you reply to someone's comment on your blog, do you reply in your comments or go to her blog and comment? (Or email her)
ever since I set blogger up to email me when I have a comment, I have just emailed the person back

4. Your favorite Disney movie is: Beauty and the Beast
5. Do you recycle? We don't have it offered in our town but if they did, I would.

6. Games of strategy or games of chance?

Both, love playing all kinds of games but to this days, I still can't play chess.

7. Do you have any recurring dreams? Yes, I do...too long to describe though.

8. What did you learn from your first real job? That my boss was a jerk that gets pure enjoyment out of making fun of teenage kids. It was the big Dairy Queen and he still works there and he's still a jerk.

9. Do you buy or borrow most books?
we go to the local bookstore in town where we keep constant credit. It's used books, we love it!

10. What fashion trend of the past did you say you'd never wear again but did?
I haven't worn these myself but I didn't think I would ever like seeing the leggings back in style like they are not but I actually love them on my girls!
11. When do you start Christmas shopping?
We are usually done by October but this year we are getting a very late start!

12. Have you ever been so happy that you literally jumped up and down for a few seconds? If so, what was the occasion?
Several times in fact. The first that I remember was winning the scholarship that was extremely hard to get out of high school. Then I remember when we bought our first truck, I felt the same way!
